Prodigy, dead at 42, promoted healthy eating and humane prisons in last days

‘The Infamous Prodigy Episode’

Prodigy of Mobb Deep and his collaborator Kathy Iandoli join us for a brainstorming session about their project, “Commissary Kitchen: My Infamous Prison Cookbook.” The book explores healthy recipes for inmates who only have access to ingredients they can purchase in prison. We couldn’t talk about that without discussing inhumane prison conditions, Prodigy’s struggle with sickle cell anemia and even secret societies and the meaning behind some of P’s most infamous lyrics.

My guest co-host, WVON technical producer and Urban Grind TV host Sonia Escobar, taps Kathy for tips on brand management and the evolution from columnist to novelist.
